Lindy Hoping at SF Union Square!

So there I was, furiously working at my client, planning on another late night when my new phone rings. It was an "unknown caller". With a bit of trepidation, I answer the phone. "Jenny, it's Mark Knapper!" I was all smiles after that.

He quickly told me that this was the last Wednesday for lindy hopping in San Francisco's Union Square...and that there was going to be a live band! I told him that sounds wonderful, but I don't even have dance shoes. He added that Louisa (cabin mate from SONH) and her brother were visiting from London and that they were going to be there too.

Well, that's all it took before I started to power down my laptop, head out to a find a Payless Shoe store, buy a shoe and race to Union Square. I got there with plenty of time to dance and to catch up with Louisa and meet her very nice brother too!

The band was fun, there was about 30 couples dancing and a square full of onlookers. The night brought blistery winds, but when you're dancing, it doesn't really matter...

After the dance, we all headed out to a good ol' America greasy spoon, Lois Diner, where we slid into the red vinyl booths and just talked about everything!

I had so much fun, thank you Mark and Louisa, I will be in London soon!
